The world's largest artificial coral reef called The Fujairah Cultured Coral Reef Gardens, equal in area to 60 football fields, will be cultivated in the Gulf of Oman, on the coast of the Emirate of Fujairah.

The reef area will be 300 thousand square meters, over the next five years, the reef will be inhabited by 1.5 million corals. The project is aimed at preserving the marine flora and fauna and increasing the fish population, as well as attracting divers and nature lovers from the UAE and from abroad.
